IPL 2021 Auction will take place on 18th February at Chennai at 3 pm IST and will be live telecast on Star Sports Network and will also be available on Hotstar App. In this auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) eight teams will be looking to secure their squads in the auction room. All the teams have traded their players in the IPL 2021 transfer window and also revealed the list of Released (57 Players) and Retained (139 Players) ahead of the auction.
Player registration deadline ended on February 4, and the initial list had 1114 cricketers from around the world.
While on February 11, Teams submitted their shortlists to the BCCI, and out of 1114 only 292 players (164 from India, 125 from Overseas, and 3 from Associate Nations) will go under the hammer at the auction.
The base price for the players has revealed two crore INR is the highest reserve price. The list includes two Indian players Harbhajan Singh and Kedar Jadhav, eight overseas players, Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy, and Mark Wood, slotted in the highest bracket.
The second highest reserve price includes 12 players with a base price of 1.5 crore INR. The list consists of Hanuma Vihari and Umesh Yadav as the two Indian players, and the third highest base price of INR 1 crore includes 11 players.
