Fabian Allen took one of the best catches in cricket history. The West Indies once again dominated Australia in all three departments of the match on Friday.
Allen, standing at long-on, 1st sprinted towards the boundary and then dived to catch Australian captain Aaron Finch with one hand.
Finch, who opened the batting with Josh Philippe (1), returned to the dressing room after scoring 34 (23) with the help of 6 fours. Leg-spinner Hayden Walsh Jr, already the series’ top scorer, scored his 1st match off Finch.
That was the moment the match changed, with Australia losing their 3rd wicket in the 10th over for 95 runs as they chased the 200-run target. They finished the match at 183/9 – 16 runs short of the Windies’ target.
After winning the coin toss, West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran opted to bat first. Opener Evin Lewis posted an impressive 79 (34), including 4 fours and 9 sixes. The men in brown finished with 199/8 in their 20 overs.
