India in a strong position in the second Test

India had a strong start in the second Test and finished Day 1 with a score of 288/4 in 84 overs. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal set a solid foundation for the Indian team with a partnership of 139 runs for the first wicket. Rohit scored 80 runs off 143 deliveries, while Yashasvi contributed 57 runs.

Although the West Indies team made a comeback and took quick wickets to prevent the Indian top-order batsmen from scoring big, Virat Kohli (87) and Ravindra Jadeja (36) batted cautiously and remained unbeaten at the end of the day.
